Couples Session Workshop

This workshop is the ultimate intro to photographing couples – complete with a live shoot. From gear prep to engaging with your couple, to looking for light, and working with whatever Mother Nature throws your way, you’ll leave this session equipped with the tools needed to smash your next shoot from start to finish.

ITINERARY

1.5 hr - Intros, gear prep, settings we use, meeting our couples

1.5 hr - Shoot at Muriwai / Collective Studios (if raining)

2 hr - Post-process workflow, editing, delivery

TECHNIQUES COVERED

  • Gear setup for outdoor portraiture

  • Interacting with couples to create natural images that you and your clients will love

  • Building an eye for composition

  • Finding good light and using it

  • Post-process workflow and editing

WHAT TO BRING

  • Cameras, lenses 

  • Suitable footwear for a walk on the beach (optional, barefooted is sweet) 

  • Dress for the weather

  • A laptop and card reader (if you want to edit your images)
